Yaakov Baruch manages the converted house in Manado that is now Indonesia's only synagogue. To prevent theft, he always takes the Torah scroll home with him at the end of the day. Yaakov Baruch stands on the bimah (raised platform) at the Manado synagogue, setting out tefillin (phylacteries) for the morning prayer.
